Oil leakage refers to the situation where oils and fats and theirproducts seeping out of packaging. The problem of oil leakage generally occursin the heat sealing site of the package and the outer layer of the flexiblepackage, it is generally caused by the quality of the package itself:
1) The quality of thepackaging materials itself is poor –poor oil resistance of the flexiblepackaging materials will cause food grease leakage; poor composite strength ofthe flexible packaging materials will cause delamination, which leads to oilleakage.
2) Poor sealingperformance - for example, poor sealing performance at the sealing site causedby incorrect heat sealing parameters will cause the grease to leak out of the package.
3) Inferior physical andmechanical properties - such as packaging materials are weak to punctures; orpinholes, creases, and damages on the packaging materials due to the kneadingor squeezing during production and storage. If the damages were not discoveredin time, they may lead to oil leakage in food packaging.
